Terms of Use

Last updated: 8 October 2026

These Terms of Use apply to your use of the website help-editions.co.uk (the "site"). The site is published by ÉDITIONS AU SECOURS LTD, trading in the United Kingdom as Help Editions. Full details of the publisher are in the Legal Notice.

By using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. What the site offers

The site presents the books published by Help Editions, offers free guides for families looking after an ageing parent, hosts companion pages for the games printed in the books (reached through their QR codes), and lets you sign up to be told by email when a book comes out.

Nothing is sold on the site. No order is taken and no payment is made here.

2. Buying the books

Help Editions books are sold on Amazon.co.uk. When you buy one, the contract is between you and Amazon, or the seller named on Amazon, under their terms, prices, delivery times and returns policy. ÉDITIONS AU SECOURS LTD is not a party to that sale. Your statutory rights as a consumer, including the right to cancel an online order and to receive goods as described, are exercised against that seller. Questions about an order, a delivery or a refund go to Amazon.

3. Email updates

If you give your email address to hear about a new book, you receive a free information service. You can unsubscribe at any time, using the link in every email or through the contact form. How your email address is used is explained in the Privacy Notice.

4. Contact form and error reports

The contact form and the "report a problem" link on the game pages are there for questions and corrections. They are not a way to place an order or to enter into a contract.

5. Who may use the site

The site is intended for adults. It is not aimed at children, and children under 13 should not send any personal information through it.

6. Using the site fairly

You agree to use the site lawfully. In particular, you must not:

  • disrupt or overload the site, or try to get round its security;
  • copy its content in bulk, by automated means or otherwise, except as allowed in section 7;
  • send unlawful, abusive or misleading content through the contact form or the error reports.

7. Intellectual property

Everything on the site (text, guides, game pages, book covers, logos, images, videos) belongs to ÉDITIONS AU SECOURS LTD or is used with permission. You may read it, print a page for your own personal, non-commercial use, and share a link to it. Any other copying, adaptation, distribution or commercial use needs prior written permission.

ÉDITIONS AU SECOURS LTD does not permit the use of the site's content for text and data mining or for training artificial intelligence systems, except where the law allows it without permission.

8. What the content is, and is not

The guides and books offer general information. They are not medical, psychological, legal, financial or tax advice, and they do not replace advice from a qualified professional who knows your situation. In an emergency, call 999.

9. Links to other websites

The site links to other websites, including Amazon.co.uk and YouTube. Those sites have their own terms and privacy policies, and Help Editions is not responsible for them.

10. Availability of the site

The site is provided free of charge. Help Editions takes care to keep it accurate and available, but cannot promise that it will always be available, free of errors or up to date. Help Editions may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it.

11. Liability

ÉDITIONS AU SECOURS LTD is not liable for any loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when you used the site, or for any business loss: the site is for private use.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under the law of the United Kingdom.

12. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated. The version that applies is the one published on this page on the day of your visit, with its date shown at the top.

13. Governing law and courts

These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Mauritius, where ÉDITIONS AU SECOURS LTD is established. If you live in the United Kingdom, this choice does not take away the protection of the mandatory rules of the law of the part of the United Kingdom where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, depending on where you live.

If you have a concern, please write first through the contact form: most questions are settled quickly that way.

14. Contact

For any question about these Terms, use the contact form or the details given in the Legal Notice.
