The game's question

Read it slowly, then choose between the three numbers together.

For a long time, the money in your purse came in pounds, shillings and pence. Twelve pennies made a shilling, and there were plenty of shillings in a pound. Then, on 15 February 1971, the pound was split into 100 new pence, and everyone had to learn to count again. Before that day, how many old pence were there in one pound?
